Hull Uni Men’s Football Club Promoted

Hull Uni Men’s Football Club have surged to promotion with four successive wins, finishing with a convincing 4v1 victory away to University of Leeds 2nd team.

The win means the club will be competing in Northern 3B next year. Facing the likes of Leeds Beckett 2nds and Teeside 1sts.

The final game was the decider. University of Leeds 2nds were the current leaders of the division, through goal difference, and required only a draw to achieve promotion. Goals from Kallum Findley, Joe Brown and two by Moto Ajibade meant Hull finished three points clear, topping the group in style.

The club began the season with somewhat inconsistent form, however, with an undefeated 2018 they have really shone and can look forward to some stiffer competition next academic year. Congratulations to all the players, committee and coach, Joe Tomlinson, for all the hard work they have put in!
