Hull Half Marathon – University Campus Road Closures
21st May 2019
21st May 2019
On Sunday the 2nd of June the Hull Half Marathon is going to be coming through our lovely campus. Runners will come up Cottingham road before doing a lap of the University and heading back towards Newland Avenue. There’ll be loads going on around campus and if you’re around we’d definitely recommend coming along and getting involved with cheering on the runners.
The flip side of this however is that – as you might’ve guessed – campus will be closed to traffic until the race has finished passing through. That means from 7.30am until 2pm there will be NO vehicular access to campus at all – you won’t be able to drive or park until it’s all done and dusted.
Some of the roads around campus – Cranbrook Avenue and Cottingham Road for example – will also be closed to traffic, so if you’re planning on driving anywhere near the area we’d recommend checking out the official half marathon road closure information. Much of the route is around the town centre, so if you’re planning anything there (or in between on the 2nd) it’s definitely worth bearing in mind.
Hopefully it’ll be a lovely day and lots of you can get down and support the runners.
