On Thursday 13th March we will be supporting University Mental Health day here at the University of Hull. Your Sport and Active Wellbeing team have some great opportunities for you to get involved with on this date. For many of us, looking after our overall physical and mental wellbeing can be challenge in itself when we encounter the stresses of University life. Here are some facts surrounding students wellbeing at University
The stats above don't have to be this way. University Mental Health day is all about raising awareness of the support available to students whilst they are at University. No student should be held back by their mental health. Lets make #UniMentalHealthDay to make student mental heatlh a University-wide priority.
Your Sport and Active Wellbeing Team would like to offer all students at the University of Hull the opportunity to take part in the FREE activity on the 13th March only. This will include the following;
The Campus Sport programme also runs free weekly sessions as part of its programme which take place every single week through the academic year. These include
The Active Wellbeing programme is available to all students at the University of Hull who may be struggling with mental and physical wellbeing, integration into University life, stress, anxiety. The programme is 6 weeks long and is completely FREE to be involved in. Students can be referred by the mental health team here at the University or by emailing activewellbeing@hull.ac.uk. The programme gives students the chance to increase their physical activity levels which will hope to boost their overall mental health. The programme offers, campus sport activity, gym and fitness classes, nutrition advice and PT sessions.
Always remember if you need any support the NHS is there to help and if you or anyone you know is in danger, its an emergency or need urgent help you can contact the NHS via 999. If you need support you can also call 111.

Getting out for a walk to reduce stress and anxiety is a great way to look after your overall physical and mental wellbeing. We have put together some short walks around campus which can be done on your own or with friends. Grab yourself a coffee and give one of the routes below a go: AMB walk.
