The Active Wellbeing programme is a sport and physical activity programme funded by Student Services however delivered by Hull Sport. The aim of the programme is to help and empower students health and wellbeing through sport and physical activity. The programme is for students at the University of Hull who may feel anxious, stressed, lonely or need more support integrating sport and physical activity in their daily routine to help with their studies. If a student is successful on securing a place the programme, they would receive one on one support from Hull Sport and have a bespoke programme designed for them based on their needs. Towards the end of the project, students have the opportunity of a discounted gym membership to encourage students to stay active. Research has shown sport and physical activity can improve our overall physical and mental wellbeing and this programme is here to help educate students with:
