Football Leadership Programme
Area of work: Football
“In my experience, the workforce academy has been awesome. I have been able to work on what’s important like how to communicate, build rapport, knowing how to deal with people of all ages, people with disabilities and also how to interact properly. I have high hopes and hopefully I get better and achieve my main goals.”
Masters Sports Health and Exercise Science
Area of work: Sport Analysis
Throughout my time at Hull Sport, I have been fortunate enough to work with a range of talented athletes, staff, and sporting organisations. My main role included video recordings and GPS performance analysis data for the University of Hull sports teams on a BUCS Wednesday. I have also been involved in a placement with the Hull Kingston Rovers academy team, consisting of a similar role which I was doing at Hull Sport. Prior to their World Cup victory, I had pleasure of tracking the England Wheelchair Rugby League team’s physical performance data using the indoor tracking system at the University of Hull Sport Centre.
My second year at Hull Sport included spending a month with the men’s Fiji National Rugby League team, where I travelled with them all over the country throughout during the World Cup. I was responsible for monitoring the athletes distances covered and speeds reached throughout training and matches, using the GPS devices I had used previously with Hull Sport. This has provided further opportunities such as becoming an intern with Hull FC
