The University work in partnership with England Rugby to help grow the game on campus and in the community. We provide a range of playing opportunities from 15-a-side full contact to indoor mixed gender touch rugby. Please see below the offers that are available to all students, staff and members of the public 16+.
Students, staff and community
There are both men’s and women’s rugby union clubs at the University of Hull, of which both clubs play in BUCS on a Wednesday. Women's Rugby Union are on the performance sport programme. Both clubs welcome new members throughout the year, and membership is open to all levels of student player, from beginner to experienced rugby player. You can join via the Hull University Union website.
Road to Rugby is an exciting project to get more new females into rugby. There will be both non-contact and contact rugby opportunities, be part of the team from the start. If rugby is something you would love to get into or get back into this is the club for you!

Touch Union is an exciting opportunity that anyone can get involved with! This session is aimed at beginners as an introductory session to Rugby. This session boasts mixed gender participation and is open to all abilities regardless of previous playing experience, simply turn up, pay and play.

Be more active this semester by participating in casual sport sessions through Campus Sport. Affordable sport sessions, which include equipment, hire and take place at the University of Hull. To book, please download the 'Hull Sport app' to access sport and fitness activities on campus.
Do you need financial support to participate in extracurricular activities? Well you maybe eligible for the Participation Grant. To check your eligibility you can visit the link below for more information.
Joining the workforce academy as a volunteer during your time at university is a great way of boosting your skills and experience, and at the same time helping to promote the Campus Sport Programme.
